Head of a George III penny.
Front
Ornately engraved token with concentric rings of decoration and text rendered in varying styles encircling two joined hearts which enclose highly decorative initials:
J A K
An arrow runs downwards through the centre of the hearts, and there is a bow at the top of the arrow. At the top of the hearts are the words:
Love & Union
Around the base of the hearts is a semicircular line of printed text:
James Keen Ann Sadler.
The outermost ring of text reads:
SACRED to FRIENDSHIP
THIS REMINDS ME of an ABSENT FRIEND
