This 1921 threepence - 2 over 1 is the rarest silver pre-decimal circulating coin. This coin is highly sought by collectors. It was produced when Melbourne mint officials decided to re-engrave unused dies from 1921. Officially, the mint denied that this occurred, probably in an attempt to cover up a poor engraving job.
