Town and Country Bank - Banknotes

The Town and Country Bank was established in Adelaide in 1881. Close to failure itself, the failure of the Commercial Bank of South Australia influenced the company's management to merge with the Commercial Bank of Australia Limited in 1886.

The reverse design of the bank's note issues is interesting for the inclusion of a translation of the note's value for the large German community living in South Australia.
