Metropolitan Bank Limited - Banknotes
The Metropolital Bank Limited was a small land speculation and banking company established in Melbourne in 1888.
The company made a small issue of notes shortly before it was forced to suspend operations in 1891. None of these issues are known to have survived. Reconstruction of the company's finances was not attempted and all remaining assets were liquidated.
