Cornwall Bank - Banknotes

The Cornwall Bank was established out of necessity by local pastoralists in Launceston in 1828 to operate in the northern areas of Tasmania. Once other banks began to operate in the region, the bank's owners decided to sell. It was absorbed by the Bank of Australasia in 1835, now a part of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited.
