Proof Ex-set

The 1966 Royal Australian Mint proof coins set was the first proof coins set issued, presented in a the navy blue case, outer cardboard sleeve.

Most years since 1966, the Royal Australian Mint has released a proof set containing proof examples of Australia's circulating coinage. Proof coins have a different and more refined manufacturing process than circulation coins. The dies are polished to give a cameo-like/mirror-like or matte finish.
