£50 Cerutty-Collins 1918 banknote

In November 2011, at a Noble Numismatics auction in Sydney, a Cerutty-Collins £50 banknote (serial number Y400230) sold for $95,000. It was described as:

Light vertical fold and tiny pin hole bottom left corner, otherwise nearly uncirculated and very rare in this condition, one of the finest known.

This same banknote sold in April 2020 at Heritage Auctions, now certified PMG AU-55, for $41,184.
